making pies

making pies

it drives me to become better,
the days, the moments, are ever a lesson.
the humbleness,
i appreciate it for exactly
what it is helping me become.
it never gives in or gives up ....
high and low it looks and it finds me.
life is teaching me, changing me.
i'll take my slice of the pie how it comes,
served up just how i like it ...
or at least how i need it.
i'm making pies, pies.
but, i gotta tell ya ...
i'm a little full.
